<Knock>
<Knock> someone banged the door again.
Her body
shivered on hearing the loud bang over the door. Her crying eyes denied opening
themselves to the outer world. She forced her eyes open with much difficulty.
She could see the hazy pale purple ceiling over her head. She sighed heavily
and gasped slowly as she rubbed her wet eyes. She had been crying all the night
but it seemed that it was just few moments before she was sitting in front of
her laptop and reading the text Rahul had left for her.
She looked onto her desk; her laptop was
lying over it safely, untouched. Her eye brows squeezed in as she found the
glass bottle beside her bed, unbroken. She could not understand what was going
on around. She looked herself in the mirror, she looked exactly the same as she
was looking last night when Rahul was here to comfort her.
Before she could come to some conclusion, the door banged again, harder this
time. She walked up to the door nervously while her dilemma denied ending. She
anticipated opening the door of her room with shivering hands and throbbing
heart.
“Are you opening the door? I think your
fatty PG owner is coming. Open it fast please” The voice was clearer now.
She knew the voice closely, very closely. She
turned open the door and there she saw him standing just in front of her eyes.
It was Rahul. He immediately got into her room and closed the door behind.
She stood
there stoned looking at him like a lunatic. She looked around to understand
what was happening. And soon she realized that it was a horrible nightmare.
Everything was just a dream, the result, Rahul’s suicide and the CD.
She
picked the cell phone from her desk and checked the date over and over again.
It was 2nd of May.
The
results were supposed to be declared today. The date clarified that it was just
a cruel nightmare. She stared at her laptop again, there wasn’t any CD. She
looked at her wrist, there wasn’t any cut or a single drop of blood. There were
just few patches of Dairy milk silk over her lips which Rahul had brought for
her last night.
“Have you gone nuts? From past few
minutes you are staring here and there. I am right here,” Rahul said in
confusion. He could not understand the reason behind Shivi’s weird behavior.
She did not utter a single word and broke into tears. Rahul was completely
confused for whatever was going on. She ran into him and hugged him tightly;
she hugged him tighter so that he can never escape her grip. He hugged her back
and covered her delicate body in his arms completely. He kissed her forehead
while she continued to scream and howl.
Shivi looked into his eyes. His eyes were holding a little worry about her for
not picking his calls up. She smiled like a princess in arms of her prince
charming and hugged him again. Her head was resting on Rahul’s chest. His heart
was beating faster. He was undoubtedly feeling special. He always wanted
this shower of love from her, shower which would make his heart wet and soul
bathe in love.
His soul
mate was standing just next to him, merged in him. It was love, love at its
purest form. Hugs from your loved ones are precious; make sure you hold each
and every hug in your arms. It wasn’t the first hug. Though it felt like the
first one where their souls met, met to eternity. It felt like holding the most
precious life in arm’s length.
“Rahul…”
she looked back in his eyes.
Her eye
lashes were wet. Her eyes had said everything. Rahul knew the feelings her heart posses, but he was
unable to make her realize what she felt for him. The nightmare did the job.
Shivi’s eyes were actually speaking the language of love.
“Rahul . .” She took his
name again. She wanted to convey the magic he created in her life, but failed.
She was looking for the proper words. She was seeking for those three magical
words which left unsaid since last one year .
She
hugged him again. They were all alone in the room, silence persisted and they
kept holding each other for few moments.
“Are you
alright?” Rahul broke the silence.
“Hmmm…”
she nodded, moving her head on his chest.
“I saw a nightmare,” she said like a little kid telling her mother what
happened in her playgroup school today. She wanted that immense care from Rahul
. She wanted Rahul’s hand in her hair, telling her not to worry… Everything is
alright and everything was alright when Rahul was around. She did not have to
worry about anything.
“It was just a
nightmare; everything is alright except my foot. You are standing on my foot.”
Rahul tried to make her smile. She smiled out of her tears.
“You know tomorrow is my birthday,” Shivi confirmed.
“Oh! Is it tomorrow? I forgot.” Rahul
chuckled. Their eyes met again, they both knew that he remembered her
birthday.
“Now
don’t tell me you have planned some handmade cards or any CD for my birthday present,”
“Who told
you?” Actually, it was a card, but I messed everything. So, I created a CD for
you,” he explained.
“I don’t
want to see it. I know what’s in it,” she blushed. Rahul was still confused.
Ignoring his confusion he preferred to hug Shivi all over again.
“I love you,” she spoke softly while her warm breath brushed over his chest.
He pushed
her out of his arms and held her shoulders. He looked straight into her eyes in
shock to confirm what he had actually heard few seconds ago.
“What?” he
asked nervously.
“I love
you,” she blushed.
“I was
stupid enough to ignore your love and care for me. What I feel for Rishi is
attraction and what I feel for you is love, I realize it now,”
He did not utter a word, instead pulled her back in his arms and
embraced her with all his right and promised he’ll keep doing that for all his
life. . . . !!
“It does not take a long time for a nightmare to turn to reality. We all have
some fears amongst our heart. Fear of losing someone is the most feared nightmare,
so realize their worth before they go far away where your voice would no more
be audible to them. Live, realize, love wisely and never ignore someone who
makes every effort to make you smile or make you happy because they are the
real treasures of your life”.
“The love I felt in her Arms,
The unsaid love which keeps me
warm,
The way she holds me, the way she
unfold me,
Makes me fall for her, makes me
bend on my knee.
I don't have much to say,
What if I say, still you don't
believe,
What if I convey, the emotions I
weave.
The web of my love, the
friendship conceived,
Made me die, still made me
relive.
You may not listen the beats of
my heart, the love dipped sounds.
in the end,
times we spent together !! With love !! . . . (:
